What are Rainbow Work’s charge rates?
The first step in our process is free. We seek to understand your project and goals and ensure we are the right fit for you. We edit and critique up to 3000 words.
If you need copy, we offer a quick sample at no charge.
Our usual charge rate is $80 AUD per hour, but we adjust according to the project and your budget, All frees are negotiable, and we don’t do package deals unless you ask. We work with you and any other providers you wish to involve - striving always for the best possible outcome at the lowest reasonable cost.
Our services range from copywriting for businesses to beta reading and critiques, editing, page design, layout, book design, preparation for publishing and arranging publication for authors.
What is the best way to make contact?

Email or SMS is preferred, as answering the phone is a challenge when working on a proejct. We’d love to meet you for a coffee if you live or are visiting close by. - our shout!
What kind of projects will you accept?
We want to be sure we can deliver exactly what you need, at a price you can afford,
We reject projects on subjects we have insufficient knowledge and/or research capabilities to do well. We don’t accept clients we know are not comfortable with what we offer and how we work.
Authors please be aware that we don’t do sci-fi or fantasy. We also don’t assist with projects that breach any law (including copyright); promote or endorse racism or bigotry; promote or endorse gross immorality, pornography, obscenity or vulgarity.; or use profanities to excess.
What do you require from clients?
Efficient communication is key to project success. We will respond to your questions and requests promptly and with clarity, and we ask you to strive to do the same.
How can I avoid unexpected extra charges?
We don’t do unexpected extra charges without extensive prior warning. We give detailed quotes and proposals before you commit. We reserve the right to limit the number of revisions done, and we will tell you right up front how many you can expect in the quoted price. You can help keep costs down by diligently working through drafts and feedback and being very clear on what is working and what needs to be changed.
Do you offer any warranty?
Of course! We don’t want unhappy clients. If something isn’t working, we ask that you tell us as early in the process as possible. We are happy to negotiate a reasonable resolution, including a partial or full refund depending on circumstances.
